Austin Interfaith

Austin Interfaith is a coalition of thirty local congregations and seventeen public schools. Our congregations are:

Roman Catholic

Methodist

Jewish

Presbyterian

Baptist

In terms of ethnicity, we are:

Anglo
     Hispanic
         African American
             Asian

Though our faith traditions vary, we all share

• the values of our democratic and republican American political tradition. We are non-partisan, but we value the ideas of the U.S. Constitution and of Declaration of Independence;
• values of the Judeo-Christian tradition, such as the idea that we belong to one another, are responsible for one another, that we will give an accounting to God of how we use things;

• the Iron Rule. Although we support programs which will help individuals and families, we do believe that no one should do for others what they can do for themselves.
